Sports&Games, Arts&Crafts is a class that was offered in the Fall of 2005 on a limited basis but it was such a success that it is now a permanent part of my schedule.
In the summertime I am a counselor at a camp in the North Woods of Wisconsin called Camp Deerhorn (www.campdeerhorn.com). For the past ten summers I have taught every activity Deerhorn has to offer. Sports&Games, Arts&Crafts brings my Camp Deerhorn experience to the heart of New York City.
The class is 90 minutes long and for the first hour we will play as many games as we can. Some of these will be the kind of games you have played before like soccer and capture-the-flag. But we will also play a ton of new games that you will be able to take with you and play with your friends for the rest of the summer. An additional 30 minutes is spent creating fun and colorful projects to take home.
The class is an excellent way to start or finish off a day at school. When school lets out just come to the park and eat lunch and then jump right into SGAC.
This class is offered on Monday through Friday. You can come on one day or all five. SGAC will run for eight weeks and the cost is $50 per class, payable by cash or check. Please e-mail me for a sign up sheet.
